The present invention relates to a fuel injection valve. The fuel injection valve according to the present invention is a fuel injection valve for an internal combustion engine, and comprises: a needle that moves within the valve housing; a valve seat defining an opening/closing hole therein which is opened and closed by the needle; an orifice plate pressed against the bottom of the valve seat, for injecting fuel through an injection hole; a fuel tube that is a passage for supplying the fuel injected from the orifice plate to the internal combustion engine; and a tube adapter installed between the orifice plate and the fuel tube, in order to prevent the leakage of fuel supplied from the orifice plate to the fuel tube. According to the present invention, because the tube adapter is installed on the end of the fuel injection valve in order to prevent an opening from forming between the orifice plate and the fuel tube of the fuel injection valve, fuel that leaks through a gap between the orifice plate and fuel tube and vaporizes so as to induce the build-up of residual matter on the nozzle surface of the fuel injection valve can be prevented. Thus, a reduction in the area of the nozzle injection hole and a decrease in the performance of the fuel injection valve due to residue build-up is prevented, shortened service life of the fuel injection valve due to leaking fuel is prevented, supplemental devices for preventing fuel leakage can be removed, and improved vehicle performance and air pollution prevention can be realized. Moreover, a gap will not form between the fuel injection valve and the fuel tube because a portion of the fuel tube is assembled to the inside of the fuel injection valve, and a sealing member is introduced at the interface of the fuel tube and the valve housing in order to doubly prevent fuel leakage. |
