Aqueous defoamer emulsion comprises: (a) 1-90 wt.% of an oil phase; (b) 0.01-40 wt.% of one or more emulsifiers; and (c) 0.01-5 wt.% of water-soluble or water-swellable, crosslinked copolymers containing 50-98.99 wt.% of acrylamidoalkylsulfonic acid compounds (I) or their salts, 1-49.99 wt.% of cyclic N-vinylcarboxamide compounds (II) and 0.01-8 wt.% of crosslinked monomers having at least two olefinic unsaturated units. Aqueous defoamer emulsion comprises: (a) 1-90 wt.% of an oil phase; (b) 0.01-40 wt.% of one or more emulsifiers; and (c) 0.01-5 wt.% of water-soluble or water-swellable, crosslinked copolymers containing 50-98.99 wt.% of acrylamidoalkylsulfonic acid compounds of formula (CH 2=C(R)-C(=O)-NH-A-SO 3M) (I) or their salts, 1-49.99 wt.% of cyclic N-vinylcarboxamide compounds of formula (II) and 0.01-8 wt.% of crosslinked monomers having at least two olefinic unsaturated units.
