[Class 52 (v)] A device for supporting and displaying a plurality of umbrellas, sunshades, walking sticks or like articles comprises one or more pairs of plates 1, 4, separated by a strip of rubber or other resilient material 3, the rubber 3 being held by the plate 4 which slides in channels formed by the bent over side edges 2 of the plate 1. Large coaxial holes which are provided in the plates 1 and 4 surround smaller holes in the rubber 3 and are aligned with holes or sockets 9 in a base 8 associated with the plates 1, 4 and the rubber 3. The ends of the strip 4 may be extended and may be bent over to support strips 1 and 4 and rubber 3 from base 8. The holes 9 may be conical and are adapted to support the ends of the umbrellas &c. 10 which are first pushed through the holes in the rubber 3. The holes in the rubber 3 may be replaced by slits or slots. |
