PURPOSE: A boost converter circuit is provided to reduce a ringing phenomenon which is generated due to a high frequency noise when a switching element is turned off. CONSTITUTION: A boost converter circuit(100) comprises a rectifier(110), an inductor(120), a diode(130), a switching element(140), a protection capacitor(150), and an output capacitor(160). The inductor boosts an applied direct current voltage to a fixed level. The diode is serially connected to the inductor and prevents a current from flowing backward. The switching element applies or blocks the boosted direct current voltage to the output capacitor by being turned off or turned on by a control signal. The protection capacitor eliminates noises which are generated in the turn-off operation of the switching element. The output capacitor discharges a direct current voltage which is applied in the switching element and outputs the voltage to a load. |
