PURPOSE: A self management method using a portable terminal is provided to offer information and materials for self management by providing applications to the portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A communication module(320) communicates with a service data base using a wire and wireless communication system included in a portable terminal. An application database(340) stores the application list of the service database through the communication module. A user information storage unit(350) stores the information of a user. A control module(310) recommends an optimized application to the user based on the data stored in the user information storage unit.
