A piston pump 10, in particular for a fluid assembly in a vehicle, having a cylinder element 12, a pump piston 14 disposed movably in the cylinder element, a resetting element 16 for the pump piston, and a filter unit 18 for filtering intake fluid that is connected to the cylinder element, characterised by the filter being at least partially made of thermoplastic and is fixed using hot caulking on the cylinder element. The invention further relates to a method of mounting a filter unit on a cylinder element of a piston pump. Preferably the filter unit is fixed point-wise or two dimensionally on the cylinder element. The cylinder element may have at least one recess that is provided for receiving at least one protuberance of the filter unit that is produced by the hot caulking operation. |
