PURPOSE: A knee airbag device is provided to unfold an airbag cushion to a knee protected location while the airbag cushion is bent upward and deployed and is arranged between instrument panel and passenger knee. CONSTITUTION: A knee airbag comprises an instrument panel and an air bag cushion(10). The air bag cushion is arranged in the inside bottom of the instrument panel. If the gas flows in, the air bag cushion is swelled and is unfolded in the outside upper of the instrument panel. In order that air bag cushion is bent upward and is arranged between the instrument panel and passenger knee, the lower of the air bag cushion is longer than the upper. The lower folded portion(12) of the air bag cushion is spread in the deployment of the air bag cushion. |
