FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics. ^ SUBSTANCE: method of treatment and prevention of gastrointestinal diseases in newborn calves includes administration of bacteriostatic, rehydration and symptomatic medications. As antimicrobial, bacteriostatic and rehydration medication applied is medication, containing wt %: norsulphasol -1.624, glucose - 1.169, sodium chloride - 6.23, potassium chloride - 0.649, calcium chloride - 0.2. Medication is applied orally, preliminarily dissolving 500 g of medication in 8 l of hot water, 2 times per day during three days in dose 0.7-1.5 l per one animal, portion of colostrum being reduced on the first day by 50-100%, on the second day - by 25%. 40 minutes before each introduction of medication calves are given decoction of oak bark in amount 15 g and 1 time per day and 20% solution of sodium caffeine-benzoate is introduced subcutaneously in dose 3 ml. ^ EFFECT: method possesses high therapeutic-preventive efficiency in treatment of gastrointestinal diseases of newborn calves. ^ 2 tbl, 2 ex |
