The invention relates to an extended release pellet comprising a core, prepared by wet or melt extrusion or melt granulation of pramipexole or the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof and inert excipients, and an extended-release coating comprising the pH-dependent enteric-coating polymer in an amount of 10 to 85% by weight and the pH-independent water swelling polymer in an amount of 15 to 75% by weight, and optionally a pore former.
