The duct section has annular components (21) i.e. annular displacers, subdividing a duct cross-section into two sub ducts. A displacement thickness of the parts of the components is increased in a flow direction upto dispersion ends of the parts. The duct section has an enlarged cross-section in the flow direction. Front edges and/or projection sections of the parts of the components are designed same as projections of airfoils with a small radius of curvature. The dispersion ends and thick ends of the parts of the components are designed with sharp edges as a Carnot impact diffuser (24). An independent claim is also included for a duct comprising duct walls.
