<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochromic display element achieving both high-speed responsiveness of color developing or erasing of an electrochromic compound and reduction in image blur. <P>SOLUTION: The electrochromic display element 1 includes a display substrate 10, at least one display electrode 11, a counter electrode 14, a counter substrate 15, at least one electrochromic layer 12 disposed adjacent to the display electrode, and an electrolyte layer 13 disposed between the electrochromic layer and the counter electrode. In the display element, the electrolyte layer contains a matrix resin 132 forming a three-dimensional crosslinked structure and a mixture of a liquid crystal compound and an electrolyte, wherein the mixture of the liquid crystal compound and the electrolyte is dispersed as a continuous phase in the matrix resin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
