摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that: shortens a transition time from an energy saving mode to a stand-by mode; turns off unnecessary power supplies for transactions with the aim of further energy saving; and prevents wear of parts of specific automatic machines by reducing unbalance of accumulated energization times and accumulated pass-through counts among units of automatic machines. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of automatic machines having a plurality of energy saving modes are connected through a LAN to a higher level device. The higher level device stores, in addition to usage situations of the automatic machines in the past (dates, days of weeks, times, the number of operated machines), transaction contents and accumulated energization time and accumulated pass-through counts of each unit of each machine. The system sets energy saving modes and a stand-by mode of each automatic machine in accordance with usage situations of the automatic machines and transaction contents in the past.
