A Neisseria meningitidis polypeptide NMB1870 that has at least 85% identity to SEQ ID NO: 57. The polypeptide also has at least one of the following residues substituted or deleted: T16, Q18, Q20, D21, S22, E23, H24, S25, G26, K27, Q33, R35, I36, G37, I39, K48, E51, G52, R54, T56, A67, K70, A78, A79, K85, D97, P105, S114, S116, L118, N120, Q121, A122, T147, N149, G150, I151, R152 or H153. The polypeptide can be used in an immunogenic composition to prevent or treat infection caused by N. meningitidis serogroup B in any of the families I, II or III.
