<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically cool a plurality of servers in a server rack by supplying a coolant taking advantage of gravity. <P>SOLUTION: The cooling system 1 supplies a coolant C to a plurality of servers 4 from an upper tank 3 of a server rack 2 by gravity. A cooling pipe 8 is provided for each of the servers 4 to circulate the coolant C through a heating device in the servers. A lower tank 5 is disposed on the underside of the server rack 2 for recovering the coolant C after passing through the servers 4. Water level gauges 15 and 19 are provided for the upper tank 3 and the lower tank 5, a controller 20 controls a rotation speed of a return current pump 16 based on outputs of the water level gauges 15 and 19, and about the same amount of coolant C as the amount recovered from the servers 4 is returned from the lower tank 5 to the upper tank 3 via a heat exchanger 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
