<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption in a display device. <P>SOLUTION: An outdoor display system 100 includes: a solar cell 1; a storage battery 2 for storing power obtained by the solar cell 1; and a display device 3 having a display panel 32 for receiving power supply from the storage battery 2 and displaying a content. The display device 3 includes: a control part 31 for controlling the display of the content; a backlight 39 for irradiating the display panel with light; and an atmospheric pressure sensor 41 for detecting atmospheric pressure.
