Disclosed is an anti-obesity agent which contains a tea-derived component, is highly safe, and does not deteriorate flavor. Specifically disclosed is an anti-obesity agent comprising a tea-derived benzotropolone-ring-containing compound having a high lipase inhibitory activity and a high α-glucosidase inhibitory activity. The anti-obesity agent is highly safe and has high palatability. The anti-obesity agent has high palatability without deteriorating flavor, and can be used in various use applications including foods and beverages which are intended to be used for health enhancement such as reduction in neutral fats.
