<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin for a thermal transfer image receiving sheet which can provide the thermal transfer image receiving sheet excellent in dyeing properties, in release properties, and in surface quality; and the thermal transfer image receiving sheet having a dye receiving layer including the resin. <P>SOLUTION: The resin for the thermal transfer image receiving sheet includes a graft polymer composed of a main chain segment (A1) made of polyester resin and a side chain segment (A2) made of an addition polymerization-based resin. In the resin for the thermal transfer image receiving sheet, the segment (A1) can be obtained by condensation polymerization of an alcohol component including 80 mol% or more alkylene oxide adduct of 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane in total and a carboxylic acid component. The alkylene oxide is propylene oxide and/or ethylene oxide. Molar ratios of the propylene oxide and the ethylene oxide are 98/2 to 40/60. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
