PURPOSE: A composition containing hot water extract of Salicornia hervacea L. is provided to prevent or treat constipation, obesity, and/or acne. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating constipation, obesity, or acne contains hot water extract of Salicornia hervacea L. as an active ingredient. The hot water extract or a fraction thereof is prepared by performing vacuum distillation, freeze-drying, or spray drying. The dose of the hot water extract in a pharmaceutical composition is 0.001-1000 mg/kg. The composition is manufactured in the form of a solution, suspension, syrup, powder, granule, tablet, or capsule.
