<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for automatically discriminating a file storing an upgraded program which rewrites a control program of a storage unit of a control device into an appropriate form. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus 10 for automatically discriminating a file, which rewrites a control program stored in a storage unit 14 of a control device of equipment from an old version into a new version, includes a CPU 12 that rewrites the control program from the old version into the new version based on a file added with a predetermined extension, which is read from an external recording medium 24 mounted on a data input port 22 thereof. The CPU 12 includes: recognition means 30 which recognizes the file stored in the external recording medium 24 based on the extension; and equipment ID discrimination means 32 which reads the file recognized by the recognition means 30 from the beginning and, when an equipment ID of the file and an equipment ID of the storage unit 14 are accorded with each other, starts the reading of the remnant portion of the file. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
