<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a power saving function and to improve usability while a power saving function is performed by an electronic apparatus having a sensor for detecting presence of a user by properly recognizing absence of a user regardless of clothes of a user and office environment of a user and finely performing power saving operations. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus has: light detecting means that emits light to an object and detects received amount of reflected light; detection results comparison means that compares detected amounts of received light at different times based on detected amounts of received light by the light detecting means; and power saving control means that switches from a normal mode to a first power saving mode in which a prescribed function is degraded based on a comparison result by the detection results comparison means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
