Disclosed is an oven (10) for the heating of a food product. The oven is composed of a top surface (20) and a bottom surface connected by spaced-apart front (30) and rear (40) surfaces to form a main heating cavity. The main heating cavity extends through the oven (10) from a first end opening (37) to an opposite second end opening (47). The oven (10) also contains a conveyor (50) which extends through the main heating cavity and between the front (30) and rear (40) surfaces, a plurality of heating elements (24, 26) located in the main heating cavity above the conveyor (50) and a fan (80) to circulate air throughout the oven (10). Front (32) and rear (not shown) cavities are formed on inner regions of respective front (30) and rear (40) sides of the oven (10). The front (32) and rear (not shown) cavities are in fluid communication with the main heating cavity.
