<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device for reading a document capable of emitting light with excellent light utilization efficiency, high illuminance to the document, and excellent illuminance distribution. <P>SOLUTION: In a light source device for reading a document, a plurality of LED light sources 5 are disposed near an end surface along a longer direction of a light guide body 10 in a long flat-plate shape, a plurality of mirror finished inclined surfaces 14 are arranged in parallel extending along a longer direction up towards the LED light source side on one surface of the flat-plate shape, and a mirror finished reflecting surface 21 is arranged at a position opposite to a surface on the other side of the flat-plate shape by interposing a gap 40. The light source device for reading a document to irradiate an image plane of a document to be read with linear light having high illuminance, can be realized by forming irradiation light by light with a high light-gathering property which is emitted from the LED light source 5 and guided without being reflected in the light guide body, and light whose light-gathering property is enhanced due to emission to the gap after reflection to the mirror finished inclined surface 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
