<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method capable of properly restoring discolored photographs. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing method, which corrects a discolored image to an original image, includes: a step for measuring colors of the photograph image which is discolored and changed, compared with the original image; a step for extracting pixels having saturation degrees which are calculated from an RGB value of each pixel in a predetermined range; a step for converting the RGB values of all the pixels to optimum values by using color conversion coefficients calculated from the extracted pixels; and a step for adding color enhancement to the RGB optimum values. In the color enhancement, a size of discoloration is determined from a characteristic value acquired from an RGB value histogram which is created from entire pixel information obtained by scanning the discolored image, an enhancement coefficient is set according to the size of the discoloration, and the color enhancement is added to the RGB optimum values. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
