Damping layer for reducing the reflection of electromagnetic waves on metallic surfaces

The layer (DS) has multiple individual layers formed at a distance from each other, where the layers are made of volume conductive plastic such as propylene or polypropylene. A distance holder is provided between the damping layer and a metallic surface (MO). The layer is structured in a wavy and/or relief-type manner, where the metallic surface is provided upstream of the damping layer. The distance holder is utilized before application of the damping layer on the metallic surface. The metallic surface exhibits surface resistance ranging between ten power four and ten power five ohm.
