<p>The device (10) has an energy-transfer element moved between a starting position and a setting position to transfer energy to a fastening element. A drive mechanism transports the energy-transfer element from the starting position to the setting position. The energy-transfer element and the drive mechanism are arranged in a housing (20). The housing comprises two housing shells and a housing seal, where the housing seal seals one of the housing shells relative to the other housing shell.
