PURPOSE: An electric shock prevention receptacle is provided to allow an electric shock prevention receptacle to block the supply of power in an opening state of a safety cover. CONSTITUTION: A safety switch(9) is projected to the upper end of a front part of a receptacle body(1). A hinge connection unit is formed in the end of the receptacle main body. A protrusion unit(11) is formed in the upper part of a safety cover(3). A hinge connection unit(7) is formed in the upper end of the safety cover. A hinge(19) passes through the hinge connection unit of the safety cover.
