PURPOSE: An operation method of a shoe cleaning apparatus is provided to supply shoe polish to an upper brush and side brush only when a shoe is being polished, thereby preventing unnecessary waste of the shoe polish. CONSTITUTION: An operation method of a shoe cleaning apparatus is comprised of the following steps. A shoe is detected using a photo sensor in order to set a wait state when the shoe is not detected and send a shoe polish supply signal to a control device when the shoe is detected(S2). An operation signal is sent to a fluid supply device, a transfer device, an upper brush device, and a side brush device by checking shoe polish in the inside of a fluid container of the fluid supply device(S3). An error signal is sent to the control device when the shoe polish is completely consumed. A detection signal is sent to the control device by checking a base of the transfer device which is moving in front and rear directions. The number of processes is calculated in a movement checking step which is checked with the sensor and sent to the control device. A shoe replacement message is informed to a user when the number of transfer device moving processes is reached to a predetermined number(S7). The shoe replacement is checked by the photo sensor(S8). The shoe polish is supplied by sending a signal to the fluid supply device(S9). Similar steps are repeated for the replaced shoe by sending the operation signal to the fluid supply device, transfer device, upper brush device, and side brush device.
