PURPOSE: An auto transmission is provided to accomplish over a change gear step of advance 8speed by 3 planets and 6 friction elements and improve the transfer efficiency of driving energy. CONSTITUTION: A first planetary gear(PG1) comprises a first sun gear, a first ring gear(R1), and a first carrier(PC1). The first carrier supports a first double pinion which is interlocked with the first sun gear and the first ring gear. An output shaft is connected to a third carrier at ordinary times. The first carrier is fixed at ordinary times and constitutes a first rigid member. The first sun gear and a second sun gear are connected at ordinary times and constitute a first rotation member. A second planetary gear comprises the second sun gear, a second ring gear, and a second carrier. The second carrier supports a second double pinion which is interlocked with the second sun gear and the second ring gear. A third planetary gear comprises a third sun gear, a third ring gear, and a third carrier. The third carrier supports a third double pinion which is interlocked with the third sun gear and the third ring gear.
