FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves obtaining a copper complex of -N-tertbutyloxycarbonyl-L-lysine first from L-lysine hydrochloride and tertbutylpyrocarbonate in a water-acetone solution of copper sulphate. Further, without extraction from the reaction medium and while stirring, the obtained copper complex is treated with aqueous solution of a disodium salt of ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid and the precipitate is separated by filtering. ^ EFFECT: method enables to obtain -N-tertbutyloxycarbonyl-L-lysine in a single step with good output owing to simplification of the process and excluding the cumbersome operation of extracting the copper complex. ^ 2 ex
