[Class 135] A valve seat comprises a separate inserted bushing in the form of two concentric rings 1, 2, the outer ring 2 being welded at 7 or screwthreaded at 8 to the valve casing 6 and the inner ring 1, which is formed with the actual seating surface 9, being welded at 3 to the outer ring. Preferably the ring 1 is supported at 10 by the valve casing and also by an abutment 5 on the ring 2. In a modification, the inner ring is made in one piece with the outer ring by turning, milling or casting a sufficiently deep groove 4 in a ring of correponding thickness.
