[Problem] To provide a frame structure and base structure that is suited to a packaged engine-driven water heater. [Solution] A packaged engine-driven water heater (1), in which an engine (40) powers a compressor (31) and a package (2) houses: a cooling medium/water heat exchange unit (33) for exchanging heat between the discharged cooling medium and the supplied water; a water/water heat exchange unit (41) for exchanging heat between engine coolant water and supplied water, said unit being provided downstream from the cooling medium/water heat exchange unit (33); and a vaporizer unit (35) for vaporizing the cooling medium through a heat exchange with air. The interior of the package (2) is partitioned into an upper and a lower section, the engine (40) and the compressor (31) being disposed in the lower section (2a) of the package, and the vaporizer unit (35) and a fan (35a) for the vaporizer unit being disposed in the upper section (2b) of the package. Therein, an external frame (35b) of the vaporizer unit (35) is formed rectangularly when viewing the vaporizer unit (35) from planar view, faces the fan (35a) for the vaporizer unit, and substitutes for the vertical frame (22) and ceiling-side horizontal frame (23) so as to form one surface of the vertical surfaces of the upper section (2b) of the package.
