<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension device properly absorbing both large load and fine vibration. <P>SOLUTION: A coil spring 22 is compressed and a piston rod 28 displaces upward although the piston rod 28 is retracted into a cylinder 26 when the impact acts on the cylinder 26 and the cylinder 26 displaces upward. By this displacement, a rubber member 32 between an upper plate 34 and insulator fittings 30 is compressed and the impact is absorbed. The cylinder 26 displaces upward while the coil spring 22 is compressed, the piston rod 28 is retracted into the cylinder 26, the lower end 24B of a bump stopper 24 and the upper end 26A of the cylinder 26 come into contact with each other, the bump stopper 24 located at an upper limit position is displaced upward along with the piston rod 28 and the cylinder 26 in the case the impact is not completely absorbed by the compression of the rubber member 32.
