<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively and quantitatively evaluate intervening object splashing characteristics of a tire when the tire runs over an intervening object such as water film present on a road surface. <P>SOLUTION: For evaluation of intervening object splashing characteristics of a tire when the tire runs over an intervening object on a road surface, a tire model reproducing the tire, a road surface model reproducing the road surface, and an intervening object model reproducing an intervening object that includes a plurality of small models separably from one another and is present on the road surface are produced. Then, the small models are dispersed by rolling the tire model on the road surface model on which the intervening model is positioned. Next, the dispersed small models are projected onto a plane perpendicular to the plane of the road surface model. The intervening object splashing characteristics of the tire is evaluated using the projection images of the small models projected on the plane. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
