<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer that appropriately detects a type of a tape in a tape cassette mounted in a cassette mounting portion, while ensuring a flexibility in the design of the printer. <P>SOLUTION: In conjugation with a closing of a cover of the printer, a release rod 17 moves to the left. In conjugation with the moving of the release rod 17 to the left, a roller holder 18 turns rearward, and a platen roller 15 is pressed against a thermal head 10. In conjugation with the moving of the release rod 17 to the left, a sensor holder 19 moves rearward, and a switch terminal 231 is pressed against an indicator portion of the tape cassette 30. A sensor protective plate 90 is provided that moves to a position where it abuts from below on the tape cassette 30 to be mounted in the cassette mounting portion, when the roller holder 18 turns rearward. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
