The invention relates to a device for controlling the electrical assistance provided by a bike of the type comprising a battery and sensors. The invention comprises: three types of sensors, namely a speed sensor (1) mounted on the rear wheel of the bike, a torque sensor (2) mounted on the crankset of the bike (3), and a speed sensor (4) also mounted on the crankset of the bike; a battery (5); a motor (6) disposed on the front wheel axle; a pace selector (7) disposed on the handlebars of the bike; a controller (9) for managing the data recorded by the sensors and for controlling same; and an integrated automatic gear speed selector (10). According to the invention, the sensors (3 and 4) define the power required (G.1) to follow a particular path, while the pace selector defines the power (G.2) to be produced by the cyclist. The invention is characterized in that the data recorded by the different sensors is transmitted to the management controller (9) so that the aforementioned power values (G.1 and G.2) can be compared and the activation of the complementary electrical assistance device may or may not be triggered, generating a differential power (G.3) of power values G.1 and G.2 and ordering the complementary power to be produced in the battery (5) motor unit (6).
