With respect to a detected correlation breakage, a malfunction which can occur is estimated. A malfunction detection device (10) comprises a storage unit (12) and a correlation model comparison unit (25). The storage unit (12) stores correlation breakage set information (33) indicating a correlation relationship wherein correlation breakage is detected when a malfunction occurs, among correlation relationships included in correlation models expressing correlation relationships between a plurality of types of performance values in a system. The correlation model comparison unit (25) calculates a degree of commonness between the correlation relationship included in the correlation breakage set information and the correlation relationship wherein a correlation breakage is detected for the input performance value.
