<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which treatment such as sterilizing and drying of a futon can be effectively performed even at a user's home, and a sterilizing and drying apparatus used for the method. <P>SOLUTION: A method for sterilizing and drying a futon and the like comprises the steps of: removing dust by vacuuming the dust on a topside surface and backside surface of the futon with a vacuum cleaner; preparing by hanging the futon on a futon hanging part, covering the whole part of the futon with a cover member, and connecting an air intake pipe of a hot air generator to an intake port of the cover member; heating and drying the futon by delivering hot air into the cover member to convect the hot air within the cover member; performing sterilization and odor-elimination of the futon by spraying titanium oxide solution into the cover member from a small opening of the cover member, circulating the titanium oxide solution along with the hot air convected in the cover member, and irradiating the futon with ultraviolet light emitted from a near-ultraviolet radiation-emitting instrument installed in the cover member; and taking the futon out of the cover member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
