<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device which achieves both operability and assemblability for a user while reducing load on a spring. <P>SOLUTION: An image formation device comprises a housing (22) which is supported to the main body of the device pivotally to release inside of a device main body (2) which houses image formation means (10) and houses image reading means (20), a link member (52) of which one end (53) pivots around the housing while the other end (55) swings between a support side (62) and a release side (60) and which can hold a release position of the housing, a pull spring (90) of which one end (92) couples with the link member while the other end (93) is coupled with a suspension part (51) which is movable in a direction connecting the other end (93) and the support side and the release side, and which adjusts load caused by open and close operation of the housing by shrinking and expanding between these support side and the release side.
