PURPOSE: A washing machine is provided to supply a safe damping function. CONSTITUTION: The upper end part of a shaft(23) of a damper(21) of a suspension(7) is connected to the water tank. The lower end part of the shaft of a cylinder(22) is connected to a mount plate(28) through a support member(67). The support member is comprised of an elastic material such as rubber. The mounting plate is fixed to the housing body of a washing machine.
