<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device and an image forming apparatus having the same capable of effectively removing resins having a low glass transition point temperature and waxes having a low melting point contained in a toner if they are adhered to the surface of a transfer means, thereby alleviating a burden of cleaning for a cleaning part. <P>SOLUTION: If a resin having a low glass transition point temperature or a wax having a low melting point contained in a toner is adhered to the surface of an endless belt 56 of a transfer belt unit 52 while performing rear-side transfer in a double-side printing process, it is cooled down by cooling air supplied from an air blowing mechanism 102 to a temperature that is no greater than the resin's glass transition point temperature and is solidified. The solidified resin or wax is scraped off by a second blade 104 before reaching a blade 100, and therefore a burden of cleaning for the blade 100 is alleviated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
