<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-distribution-variable type lighting fixture capable of obtaining a plurality of irradiating directions with one lighting fixture without increasing the number of light sources. <P>SOLUTION: The light-distribution-variable type lighting fixture 1 includes a light source 2, an optical member 3 for controlling light from the light source 2 in an irradiated direction, and a variable optical member 4 capable of varying distribution of light from the light source 2 and light from the optical member 3. The variable optical member 4 is arranged in a direction crossing an optical axis 31 of the light from the optical member 3, and a ratio between a light-transmitting rate and a reflecting rate of light becomes variable by switching physical conditions given to the variable optical member 4.
