ACTIVE AIR FLAP

PURPOSE: An active air flap is provided to be smoothly drained by securing the enough size of a through-hole through the switching of a through-hole according to the switching operation of an air flap. CONSTITUTION: An active air flap comprises a plurality of air flap doors(501), a sensor, an electric control unit and a housing(510). In order to control the flow rate of the air flowing in into the inside of a vehicle engine room, the air flap door is switched. The electric control unit is connected to the air flap door and sensor and controls the operation of the air flap door using the physical quantity measured at the sensor. The air flap door is formed into a flat type and is rotatably formed about a rotary shaft which is vertically installed in the air stream direction. A through-hole(520) is formed in the floor of the housing located in the front of the active air flap. The through-hole is closed when the air flap door is opened and is opened when the air flap door is closed.
