<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for operation input for a vehicle, which improves the selection operability of a touch operation input. <P>SOLUTION: The operation input device 10 for a vehicle, includes: a light source 15 that turns on or blinks a switch operation surface 12 in the operating condition in which a touch switch 11 is operated and turns off the switch operation surface in the standby condition in which the touch switch is not operated; and a touch detection area determiner 21 for determining a touch detection area of the touch switch 11 according to the operation mode of the light source.
