<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barrier system capable of properly detecting an intruder and an evader etc. <P>SOLUTION: A row of main fences 13 is made up by placing a plurality of main fences 13A and 13B in parallel at some distance from each other, and is provided around a building 11. Infrared sensors 17 and 19 for detecting a human body are provided at the inner side and the outer side of the row of main fences 13. A sub fence 20 for preventing animal intrusion is provided around the infrared sensor 19 of the outer side of the row of main fences 13.
