PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for purifying contaminated water are provided to be applicable for purification of alcohol and drinking water and to separate various organic materials from seawater. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for purifying contaminated water includes a filtering unit, a filtering container(1), and a stirring unit. The upper side of the filtering unit is wide, and the lower side of the filtering unit is narrow. A fluid inlet is formed at the upper side of the filtering container. An outlet is formed at the lower side of the filtering container. Fluid through the filtering unit is introduced through the inlet. Resultants are obtained by the stirring action of the stirring unit and are discharge through the outlet. |
