The problem of the invention to provide a thermolysis reactor and a method for operating the same in a system for the thermal decomposition of waste products and waste materials, which organize a movement of the goods in such a manner that a stable temperature pattern is ensured, continuous and stable temperature-guided control of the flow of the method is enabled, and a consistent gas quality is ensured with a long residence time, is solved in that the thermolysis reactor comprises an outer jacket (5) and an inner jacket (3), which form a double jacket, the inner jacket (3) being surrounded by the outer jacket (5) so that a gap (6) exists between the inner jacket (3) and the outer jacket (5), the double jacket having an inlet (2) and an outlet (12), and the inner jacket (3) surrounding an inner space (1) that is delimited at the ends by covers (4), characterized in that the gap (6) is closed with respect to the surroundings at the ends of the double jacket formed by the inner jacket (3) and outer jacket (5) and the covers (4) support a shaft (13), wherein a heat transfer medium is present in the gap (6) and the shaft (13), and the shaft (13) is supported centrally in the covers (4) and carries a delivery tool (11). |
