<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the variation of the water content of a raw material and the calorific value of a pyrolysis gas or a reformed gas of a carbonaceous composite waste which largely varies due to the ununiformity of the raw material to fall in a predetermined range. <P>SOLUTION: A calorific value controlling method of controlling the calorific value of a gas reformed by thermally cracking a carbonaceous composite waste within a predetermined range includes (i-1) analyzing the component composition of a reformed gas at time intervals t1 to calculate an instantaneous calorific value Q<SB POS="POST">t1</SB>, (i-2) calculating an average calorific value Q<SB POS="POST">t2</SB>within time intervals t2 (>t1) on the basis of the instantaneous calorific value Q<SB POS="POST">t1</SB>, and (ii-1) changing the operation conditions of a reforming furnace on the basis of the variation of a calorific value for the instantaneous calorific value Q<SB POS="POST">t1</SB>and the average calorific value Q<SB POS="POST">t2</SB>to meet equation (1): ¾ΔQ<SB POS="POST">t12</SB>¾≥Q<SB POS="POST">t2</SB>×(a/100)(1≤a≤3) (wherein ΔQ<SB POS="POST">t12</SB>=Q<SB POS="POST">t1</SB>-Q<SB POS="POST">t2</SB>). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
