<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus capable of further being downsized, easily assembled and adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: The endoscope has an insert part 4 for being inserted in a test object space, a laser light source for generating laser light, and a control device for controlling the operation of the laser light source. The insert part 4 is equipped with a light guide 13 for guiding the laser light generated from the laser light source to the tip of the insert part 4 and irradiating from the tip, and an optical element 14 mounted opposite to the irradiating edge of the light guide 13.
