PURPOSE: A battery protection circuit, a control method thereof, and a battery pack are provided to detect an abnormal situation of a battery cell, thereby preventing damage of the battery cell. CONSTITUTION: A terminal part(110) is connected to an external device or a battery charger charging a battery cell(200). An analog front end(120) controls charging and discharging processes of the battery cell. A micro controller(130) receives sensing data transmitted from the analog front end. A state display circuit(140) creates a state signal to be transmitted to the analog front end. A charging/discharging switch(150) includes a charging control switch(151) and a discharging control switch(152).
