The present invention pertains to a Dolichos biflorus extract enhancing collagen production and cosmetic compositions comprising said extract. Furthermore, it pertains to the use of said extract or compositions for cosmetic purposes, especially to their use in enhancing collagen production. Finally, a method for preparing said extract and for its cosmetic use is described. The Dolichos biflorus extract is preferably made from seeds by alcoholic or hydroalcoholic extraction.
